Free PDF commenting

Comment on a PDF, right in your browser

Drop a PDF and it opens ready for comments. Click anywhere on a page to leave a note, or highlight a sentence to comment on those exact words. Then share the link and others can add theirs.

How it works

  1. 01

    Drop your PDF

Up to 25 MB. It opens in your browser, every page sharp.

  2. 02

    Click to comment

Pin a note anywhere on a page, or select text to comment on it.

  3. 03

    Share for replies

Send the link. Others comment and reply in the same place, no account needed.

Comments that stay put

  • Pinned to the spot. Each comment sits on the exact place you clicked, so nobody has to guess what “the paragraph on page 3” means.
  • On the exact words. Highlight a sentence and comment on it, like marking up a printout.
  • One thread for everyone. No emailing marked-up copies back and forth. Everyone comments on the same link and sees each other's notes.

Questions

How do I add comments to a PDF online?+

Drop the PDF in the box above. It opens in your browser: click anywhere on a page to add a comment, or select text to comment on it. No software to install.

Can I comment on a PDF without Adobe Acrobat?+

Yes. Everything happens in the browser, on a Mac, Windows PC, iPad or phone. The people you share it with don't need Acrobat either.

How do I mark up a PDF and send it to someone?+

Add your comments, then use Share to copy the link and send it. They see your comments on the page and can reply or add their own.

Does it change my PDF file?+

No. Comments sit on top of the PDF in Kenso, and the original file stays as it was.

How long do free comments last?+

A free link lasts 7 days. Start a free 14-day Kenso trial to keep it, get notified about new comments, and upload a new version to the same link.
